Happy Monday! It’s so hard to believe we’re already in the middle part of April.
Today I thought I’d do something different and talk a little bit about the books I’m reading. I’m reading three right now which isn’t my typical reading.
First, I am reading Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb. It’s a part of her Rain Wilds Chronicles series and follows the path of some dragons and their handlers while they search for a new home. The world is rich and detailed. I could as easily be sitting in the Rain Wilds as my chair. But, once I’m in the story, It’s hard to put down. Although once I do set it down, I have a hard time picking it back up again. Probably because of my second book, which I’ve been wanting to read for a while.

My second book is To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini. I love the Inheritance Cycle. To Sleep in a Sea of Stars is intense and a dabble into science fiction by Paolini. He delivers… while in the first quarter of the book. I’m trying not to rush read it as Paolini puts clues and hints in his stories. The book itself follow’s Kira Navárez as she discovers an alien relic on the planet that launches the galaxy into war and humans onto the brink of extinction. The quarter is an intense ride, and I’m sure it only gets better.

The last book I’m reading is A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I’m re-reading the book as I read the first two a long time ago but finally bought the third and fourth ones in the series. I love Maas’s style. It’s an effortless uncomplicated writing style, but the stakes are always high. It makes a quick, easy escape to another world.
